Transitioning To A Gasification Outdoor Wood Boiler

After using a "traditional" outdoor boiler for just over five years. A HeatMaster customer going by his online name "CountryBoyJohn" upgraded to a state-of-the-art HeatMaster G200 outdoor wood furnace. In a video he posted on YouTube, he goes into detail about how much wood he feeds his new boiler per day and compares its performance to that of his last boiler, the HeatMaster MF10,000e.

He begins the video by explaining how much space he is heating and showing four stacks of wood on a concrete slab in front of his boiler. "Each one of these stacks will last about a week," he says, going on to explain that this is during temperatures around fifteen to thirtee degrees Fareinheit. Providing four updates at one-week intervals, he confirms that his boiler is using approximately that much wood per week. He then shows a wagon full of fire wood that would have lasted him about two days in similar conditions with his old boiler and states that he believes his new outdoor furnace is burning at least 50% less wood than his old one.

While transitioning to a gasifier can come with a bit of a learning curve, the time saved cutting wood can make it well worth the switch for most owners.
